Congratulations to new "American Idol" singer Kelly Clarkson, who has a fabulous voice, and who won this award just last night.  I think the fact that there is a strong family resemblance between this twenty four year old, (oops - I mean 20 year old) Texas ex-cocktail waitress, and Monica Lewinski, ex-President Clinton's young mistress is "truly coincidental".

While trapped in these people's cult, I have intentionally had to look for diversions, to counter the depression I have felt due to being trapped in situation, against my will, with no support, or else be killed.  The diversions could never be other people, because the other people who were always around me were always part of this gang, whatever this gang is, and always turned out to be abusive and demeaning, regardless of how they seemed to be at the start.  As a result, I have focused on 'mental' or 'cerebral' activities, and have found other positive things, or things I could could perceive as positive, to lighten things up a little bit for myself.  One of these recent things is "The Bird Tree". 

 

"The Bird Tree" is a large group of trees, close to my bedroom window, where flocks of birds, flying through the area as part of their migration pattern at this time of the year, stop to rest.  "The Bird Tree" reinforces the pattern of a 'group' of voices, as opposed to a singular voice 'crying out in the wilderness'.  This is because birds don't rest there for long, long time periods, but for the time that they are there and together, the sound is phenomenal.  Flocks of birds tend to roost there in the early morning hours, after the sun has come up and day has broken at this time of the year (starting in mid-September in Ohio).  I intended to write a poem about "The Bird Tree", but for some reason, this poem didn't 'materialize'.  I suspect this is because the concept of "The Bird Tree" is not meant to be a topic of poetry, but a point of meditation and inspiration on its own, without the 'flowery verse' attached.  

I just went to my local "Dairy Mart" and noticed that the York people (aka the candy company that makes the delicious Peppermint Patty candy) have come out with something new for Halloween.  These are 'bat shaped' peppermint patties called "Batty".  Now, we can all be bats or batty.  Why should one elderly woman be able to hold the complete title of "The Michigan Bat" ?  :)

[I do not know this woman personally, but have heard enough about her to suspect that she is a local  source of trouble, and a possible crook].  Again, I think this is something that other people have more information about.
